Meet the Officers: JS Bro. Brent Breese

JS Bro. Brent Breese is a native of Hobart, IN and has been a Mason since 2017. He was initiated, passed, a raised to the degree of Master Mason in Montgomery Lodge #50 in Crawfordsville, IN while attending Wabash College. He graduated from there in 2019 with a degree in French.

While at Wabash he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and there found what has become a lifelong aspiration to belong to organizations that foster moral growth and meaningful camaraderie. This, as well as encouragement from several fraternity brothers who were also Masons, led him to joining the Craft.

Bro. Breese has lived in Strasbourg and Chateaudun, France, worked as an English Teaching Assistant, and moved around the state for several years before finally resettling in the region. He found Porter Lodge thanks to his participation in the Deep River Grinders Vintage Baseball Club, who hosts a team of Masons in an annual benefit match for Shriners Children’s Hospital - Chicago. There he was first introduced to members of our Lodge and found a place to reconnect with the Craft. He joined Porter in late 2023 and joined the officer line this year.

He resides in Hobart with his girlfriend Caroline and cat Skoogs, and works in the steel fabrication industry. In his free time he enjoys playing card and tabletop games, reading, golf, Yahtzee, watching the Cubs and Packers, and enjoying a fine cigar.

Looking forward to a prosperous year at Porter Lodge!
