As I look back on the moment I was asked to become a Lodge officer, I can still feel the weight of that decision pressing on my heart. Fear was my first companion—fear of the unknown, fear of failing those who trusted me, and fear of stepping into a role that demanded more than I believed I could give.
I remember questioning myself: Am I ready? Do I have what it takes? The responsibilities seemed immense, and the expectations even greater. It wasn’t just about holding a title; it was about upholding the traditions, values, and integrity of the Lodge—a legacy far bigger than myself.
Yet, in that fear, I found growth. Each doubt became a challenge, each challenge a lesson. I learned that leadership is not about perfection, but about commitment and courage.
The fear that once held me back became the fire that pushed me forward.
Today, I am grateful for that moment of uncertainty because it taught me resilience and humility. It reminded me that the greatest journeys often begin with trembling steps.
