Solomon's Court

Someone must lead the Lodge, and so it has been since time immemorial. Brothers rise to the Oriental Chair to serve as Worshipful Masters - a title they carry for the rest of their lives as Worshipful Brothers (Past Masters). They deserve the utmost respect for their dedication, service, and labor. They are the beacons of every Lodge throughout the world, the custodians of authority, and the guardians of Masonic principles and values.

Of course, it is also the inherent nature of a Past Master to observe every move of the new officers and masters with a keen eye, usually concluding that "it wasn't done quite like that in my year" followed by a gentle, brotherly complaint. Yet, we know this comes from a place of deep devotion and brotherly love; after all, keeping the next generation on their toes is simply the final, unofficial duty of the chair!

Presented here is the list of Porter Lodge No. 137’s living Past Masters, many of whom remain active and devoted members of the Fraternity.
